What is Prayer

PRAYER is not begging unto God, but an invitation by God almighty, to fellowship with HIM with the help of the Holy Spirit who searches the deep things of God and reveals it into our hearts. Prayer is a weapon by which a believer takes authority over every circumstances and situations in love. Let us be filled with all the fullness of God and walk as men and women full of power and faith. As we pick the weapon of prayer, we must also pick up and activate our weapon of fasting. Prayer and Fasting work together to penetrate – to breakthrough – the resistance that the enemy had built Fasting strengthens and intensifies our prayers. As we fast and pray before God, we will be able to claim victory and breakthrough over every circumstances. The fasting that God honors is the fast that begins with the attitude of heart, turning unto HIM with total surrender and humbling ourselves. Fasting is not simply a matter of not eating for a specific time but it involves humbling ourselves before God with a fruit of repentance that we walk in the perfect will of God ,loving HIM blamelessly and walking worthy of HIM and loving HIM unconditionally. As we prepare for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we must first set aside our minds and hearts to set aside times to pray and fast and turn away from everything that is displeasing to God. We might be doing many things for God but what God needs is us to be in HIS presence, loving HIM and serving HIM.
Bless you all in Jesus name.

Who Can stop #Jesus?

Jesus was on the most important mission of His existence, carrying His sacred sacrificial blood to the Father for the eternal redemption of mankind. It was for the remission of sins of all mankind from the past, the present and the future including ours.
And there she was, a woman,in the middle of the night who was crazy enough to go out at that time, not searching for Jesus, but His body. She was soo much in LOVE with Him that she wanted to see Him even in that state. But the tomb was empty. Her heart broke, she didn’t realise that He rose again.
“Why are you weeping woman?Whom are you seeking?”, she heard a voice from the back. She thought it was the Gardener. She asked him if she could have the body of Jesus if he had taken it.
It was Jesus Christ Himself who had asked her.
There He was, carrying His sacrificial blood. He was going to ascend to his Father and His God now. And there is this woman who was clinging on to Him with her LOVE, stopping Him from going to the Father. You can read the rest in John Chapter 20.

The only thing that can make Jesus stop is your Love for Him. Jesus was on His most important task but even then, He stopped for someone He loved. Even today, He is the same Jesus who will come running to you if you say, ‘I love you Jesus.’ Cling on to Him, make Him your own with your Love . He never wanted to be the founder of any Religion or wanted a God-devotee relationship. He just wants fellowship and Love from you and me.
How many are ready to stop Him and keep Him with your love? – Raunaq &Sara

He’s got your back, you are safe!!

If you go through the Bible there are over 5000 promises which are ours as children of God . Each promise which are God’s direct words for you and me are operational all the days of our lives when we trust and spend time in His presence. Since we have Jesus as the Lord of our lives, or have him as our chief Shepherd leading us, we have become His Responsibility for the Glory of God. Even though we may not know these 5000 plus promises, each one of them is Yes and Amen for us as Jesus is our Lord.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”(‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ ).
The following verses in Psalm 91 are few of those promises which we can reflect upon on a daily basis. These are Absolute Truths that are operational for us.

Psalm‬ 91‬( ‭MSG‬‬) –
“You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, say this: “GOD, you’re my refuge. I trust in You and I’m safe!” That’s right—He rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you’re perfectly safe; His arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day, Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you. You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses. Yes, because GOD ’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

“If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says GOD, “I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best care if you’ll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party. I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!””
Hallelujah!! What more can we ask for?
So, Don’t Worry…

…He’s got your back, you are safe!!

Mistakes to Miracles

Everything happens for the good of those who love the Lord.

Some times things don’t go according to our plan, but it goes according to the plan of our Heavenly Father.

Sometimes the Father lets certain things happen in our lives. It doesn’t mean that He is trying to hurt us. No! He is our loving Father and just as no earthly father would want any bad thing to happen to their children, our Father in Heaven who lavishes His love on us does only good. When circumstances come, He is teaching us certain lessons from it and when others face difficulties we will be able to understand them deeply. When Jesus walked on this earth ? He had faced many trials and temptations . So when we are going through them, He understands our feelings and will help us overcome it.

What we need to do is, proclaim the word of God! It is living and will create. Speak as you believe.I believe therefore I spoke(2 Cor 4.13). We have received the same Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit.

When God started speaking, He said, let there be light! Today the same Spirit is living in you. Nothing will happen until you speak. As we grow in Christ, we will grow in all things- Spiritually and worldly.

When we say it out loud , our faith will increase as our mind itself is listening to what we are saying. Devil does not know the thoughts going on in our head.It is only when we say it,that he knows it. So proclaim the word of God out loud and let him know who the boss is! But as for Jesus,He knows our every thought and even our slightest heartbeat. Jesus knows our heart more than anyone else in this world.
So don’t regret and be sad of your mistakes but press forward as Paul says, trusting our Father, who works everything( even your mistakes) for your good.

Righteousness – Part 4

Romans 3:24 also tells us that His righteousness is free and we received it by grace. Ephesians 3:23 & 24 say, ” and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” Here, verse 24 says that our inner man (the new man) is just like God . Now only our minds need to be renewed. God is righteous and we were created by God in righteousness and holiness. In John 17, Jesus prays to the Father saying that He has given us His glory. Jesus has given it to us and when we believe it, we receive it. We are beholding His glory here on earth and representing God. God transformed us who were sinners, to be carriers of His glory. So, now we are not mere men but men who carry God inside us. We metamorphosed from a sinner to a carrier of God because of His righteousness.

Romans 4 is all about the righteousness that Abraham received from God. How did Abraham become righteous? He believed God’s Word and that was credited to him as righteousness. Romans 4:16,17 says, “Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;”. The Word that God gave Abraham did not agree with Abraham’s situation but he believed that God was still able to fulfill His promise and that faith was credited to him as righteousness. He hoped against hope and did not believe in his circumstances. He was so sure that if God has said it , it will happen! That is the confidence a righteous person has.His focus was on what God said. He did not consider anything else. Romans 4:25 says that Jesus rose again for our justification.

God has justified us and made us members of His household. Now we who are made righteous should live in the liberty that a child has in his father’s house – we should be righteous-minded. We have received a Spirit of sonship that calls Him, Abba Father! Romans 10:10 says, ” For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 8:30 says,”Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”
God has predestined us, justified us and has given us His glory so that He could prove to the world who the righteous are! Let us be righteous-minded and keep in step with the Holy Spirit and God will demonstrate His glory through us to the whole world and the world will know that Jesus is alive through us the righteous ones of God ! !

A Thankful heart

God loves a thankful heart. When Jesus fed the 5000 people with bread and fish, he did not look into the small portion of 5 loaves. Instead he gave thanks for the small portions and then the miracle happened. It multiplied, feeding the thousands who were hungry.
If Jesus who came from the bosom of the Father gave thanks, how much more should we!

When thanks arise from our hearts.,there is no pride or ego inside of us. We are submitting ourselves completely to Him. We are letting go. And His grace is sufficient for us in the time of weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)

It is said in the bible , Do not be anxious of anything, but in every situation, by prayer, and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to god. (Philippines 4:6) be it any situation, always be thankful. Miracle is sure to happen.
Thanking God pleases Him.

When you feel that you don’t know what to pray and how to pray, look into your daily life. Imagine- you woke up this morning healthy and happy, you have food on your table, you have shelter above your head. How much more grateful can you be.

I’m sure He will bless you even more when thanks arise from your lips. It’s my personal testimony.

From the smallest to your biggest needs.. He knows.. the things you’ve taken for granted, it’s not taken for granted by the Lord. He makes sure it’ll be done. If Jesus won’t do it for us His children, then to whom would He do it for?

Whatever may be the situation, Jesus will do it. And if you think it’s delayed, thank God it is. Because only good will happen to those who love Him(Romans 8:28). Our Father in heaven does only good to His children and only wants to do us good . So, with a thankful heart, present your request to God. He knows your heart more than anybody else in this world. He is our loving Father. Trust in Him!

Righteousness – Part 3

Romans 3:21 says,” But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,…”. In the Old Testament, the laws had to be obeyed from A to Z in order to make a man righteous. And Deuteronomy 28 says that only a person who obeyed the Law fully would be blessed. None other than Jesus could obey the whole Law and fulfill them. But what a beautiful provision God made for us ;now when we believe in Jesus, all those blessings come to our lives freely through Christ. Further down, Romans 8:3,4 says, ” For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

It says, that what the Law could not do, God did for us. How did God do it for us? He did it by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh for our sins. Jesus became sin for us that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us . And it is fulfilled in us, when we keep in step with the Holy Spirit and not according to the flesh. The righteous requirement of the Law was to obey the Law fully and now a person who believes in Jesus and who is led by the Holy Spirit has this requirement fulfilled in him. Righteousness came as a gift from God.

Let’s read Romans 2:4 where it says ,” Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” which means that the riches of God’s goodness always leads us to repentance. When Jesus gave Peter a humongous catch of fish that overloaded 2 boats, it led to repentance in Peter. He didn’t go after the catch, but instead fell at Jesus’ knees and cried out,”Depart from me, for I am a sinful man , O Lord!” This shows that as God’s goodness in us abounds, the more it leads us to repentance. We are not blessed because we are good, but because He is good.

Don’t be a ‘shell-eating scholar’!

Think of someone grating a coconut , throwing the edible part away and trying to eat the shell with all difficulty and getting nothing out of it ! You will say to me: ” Brother, no one will do that foolishness”.
But I’ve found satan trying to fool even  children of God by making them throw away the ‘edible part’ of the promises of God and making them ‘eat the shell’!

Look how  some so called ‘scholars’ were fooled by satan in Jesus’ time. There were some among the Jews who were thoroughly studying the scriptures to learn about the coming of the promised Christ while He was on earth, very near to them, but could not acknowledge Him while many of the ordinary  people were enjoying the Messiah ! See Jesus telling them about their pitiable condition.
“You study the scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same scriptures that testify about me, but you are not willing to come to me so that you may have life.”(John.5.39,40)
Don’t allow satan to make you a ‘ shell-eating scholar’.

While the wise men from the east came to king Herod and enquired where the king of the jews, the Christ was born,he called forth the jewish scholars and chief priests and asked them what is written in their scriptures concerning that. Without any delay their scholastic answer came:”in Bethlehem”. And they were very smart in quoting the scriptures to back their answer(Mathew.2.1-6). But we learn that baby Jesus was of two years of age at that time and none of these scholars and priests who were studying about the coming of Christ could see Him. Ordinary people like the shepherds and the wise men from the east beheld the Saviour. Yes, the true wise men, the true scholars, reach Jesus !

The most funny part of the story is that when baby Jesus was of fourty days of age, His parents had brought Him in to the temple of Jerusalem for the dedication of the child, and it was these priests who performed the sacrifices for the child and the mother according to the commandment of the law of Moses without knowing that the baby was the Christ whom they were expecting! But see,an old man named Simon and a very old prophetess named Anna who not only had the knowledge concerning the coming of the messiah, but also the Spirit of revelation could behold Him and embrace him (Luke 2.22-39). Those who were known as the scholars and researchers could not enjoy the blessing. The Word of God says:

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1.22)
Jesus came down not just as the Saviour, but He is a healer and deliverer too.
In Luke 10 we read the narration of Jesus sending out seventy ordinary men to preach the Kingdom of God and  to heal the sick. They went out without questioning or doubting or researching on their Master’s Words and did a marvelous ministry. They came back reporting:” Lord even the demons flee in your name”. See how joyous Jesus was on hearing this. He started praising the Father with joy.
“In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.”( Luke 10.21)
See, the so called wise could not enjoy the real blessings of the Word of God!
Now a days also there are many people who are studying and commenting the scriptures and not enjoying the simple blessings in it. Eating the shell!

It is good to have an understanding about the chemical composition of sugar. But don’t forget that sugar is something to be tasted. So let us taste and enjoy our Lord and His promises for us.

Concerning the marvelous experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit, some say, ‘It is not for us now, it ihas stopped, it was only for the early church’. But thank God, many millions who have simple faith believe and enjoy it even today. For them it has not stopped! They are eating the real good part of the promise of the Holy Spirit. Really, they are the true scholars.
Dear ones, all the promises of God are good and they are ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ for us.
“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1.19,20)
Jesus is for you. Salvation is for you. Heaven is for you. All the spiritual  blessings are for you. Healing, deliverance, prosperity, multiplication, all are for you in Jesus!

“…For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.”(1 Corinthians 3.21-23)

The God Who Uses Your Mistakes.

When Peter rejected Jesus three times, wasn’t it the biggest mistake Peter could do after all what Jesus did for him?
As Jesus said, the rooster crowed, and that’s when Peter came to his senses and understood what he had done.
That guilt which got into Peter could have destroyed him forever. But the thing here is, didn’t Jesus know that Peter was going to do it? He had even told Peter about it and Jesus could have easily stopped him from doing it too. But Peter did it.
Was it the end of Peter? No! That was the real start. That moment when he denied Jesus, he saw that loving, humble look from Jesus and that just changed him forever. It made him even more fervent for Jesus. It made him more trustworthy. It made him more stable.
That one look from Jesus changed him forever and later he was appointed to lead the ministries and all other followers.

This happens to us also. We get into trouble not because we don’t love Jesus but because of the deceiving Satan. Mostly we also come to our senses only after we do it. Why didn’t Jesus stop us from doing it? Maybe He wanted us to learn something out of it instead of crying for it.

Just the way Jesus used Peter’s mistake to transform him into a more fruitful person (a stronger person who even gave his life without any regret for Him), he is going to use what you call your failures or the things which you are afraid will destroy you forever, to bring out the best in you.

Not even a mistake in your life is gonna be a mistake if you get a hold on Jesus. The things which you thought were going to destroy you, which you thought was your end, is going to be transformed into a new beginning, making you stronger, more passionate and above all, transforming you as the most fruitful person.

So the bad memories you have, which disturb you all the time, the mistakes for which you are ready to get punished for is not going to be for your end but for your beginning.

The only thing we shouldn’t forget is to see that love of Jesus for you. The moment His love starts activating in you, your bad memories turn to useful chapters. Your mistakes turn to lessons. This brings out the best in you so that you are will be a tree full of fruits, making you the biggest blessing for heaven.

Yours mistakes, big or small, it’s not the end. Let His love work, and watch how Jesus transforms it as the beginning of a new and exciting life.

As told in the bible,
I BOAST IN MY WEAKNESS, FOR WHEN I AM WEAK THEN I AM STRONG!!

Chill… because YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOUR LIFE and I guarantee you, WITH HIM YOU’RE GONNA MAKE IT IN LIFE!!

Righteousness (Part 2)

As I had mentioned earlier in part 1, the Word of righteousness gives us the confidence to call God, ‘Abba Father’. Jesus became sin for us so that we would become righteous. The Holy Spirit always makes us righteousness – minded while satan tries to make us feel guilty. Satan always accuses us but Holy Spirit always corrects us and brings us to repentance. He always assures us that we will never be a failure and makes us stand before God with confidence. So, a righteous-minded person will always have the confidence to stand before God and the courage to rebuke the devil. Ephesians 6:14 says that righteousness is a breastplate for us who believe in Jesus Christ.Yes! A righteousness man is like a lion…bold in all circumstances.

Romans 1:16,17 says, ” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

In the above verse, it says, ‘salvation for everyone who believes’. All the believers believe in Jesus Christ. So, what is Paul referring to here? He is referring to a strong faith that Jesus died for us and that there is forgiveness of sins in His name. Also, to a faith that because of what Jesus did for us, we don’t have to do anything now in order to please God. We have been delivered from all the dead works and we don’t have to offer anything to God because heaven has made the ultimate sacrifice and that is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God! When you believe that that sacrifice was made for you,you are made righteous before God. Bless you!
