Believe in miracles
and BE GOOD!
A revival speaker was once invited to
preach in an evangelistic
meeting. Just before he was entering the platform, the
conveners told him:”Pastor you just preach the salvation message.
Please don’t preach that miracles are going to happen.”
The preacher asked them a question back. “Can I tell
the people that Jesus will do something good in your lives
tonight?”
“
Of course, absolutely no problem for that “they replied.
“
Then please forgive me; if Jesus does something that will
be a miracle. Please don’t count it as my fault.”The
organizers could not answer him anyway.
Don’t be afraid of the miracles. Believers’ life
is a life of miracles. True believers have a heart which
expects a miracle all the time.
Which heart is a good heart? No doubt, a believing
heart.
Holy Spirit says: “Take care, brethren, that there
not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that
falls away from the living God. “(Heb 3:12-13 NASU)
God says like this reminding the church about the unbelieving
heart of the Israelites even after they saw many miraculous
ways of God in the wilderness
“
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day
of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted
me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.” (Heb
13.8,9 KJV)
Let us come to our day today life. Why quarrels in
homes? In churches? In society? All because of our
unbelief
in the intervention of a miracle working God.
When a husband and wife quarrel or find fault with
each other on any matter, if we go deep into the
problem, it will be
clear that instead of quarreling if they join together
in prayer, they could see a miracle! For such a unity,
Jesus
assures:
"
Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about
anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by
My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered
together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matt
18:19-20
You husband and wife, believe on that truth. He
is in your midst just to perform a miracle for
you!
This is same in the case of a church issue too.
Church is also a family; family where God is the
Father.
The members of this family trust in the Lord for
a miracle
always.
When
Peter was in prison, the church assembled together
believing on a miraculous deliverance of their
beloved leader.
(Acts.12)They were not finding fault with each
other. They did not make
it a time of argument or quarrel; instead they
were preparing a platform for a miracle to happen
by being
united in
prayer. And the miracle happened! He was set free.
This miracle
gave even more strength and unity to the Church.
James 4:1-2 says:”What is the source of quarrels and
conflicts among you? …………You do not
have because you do not ask”. (NASU)
Yes, as in the world famous song ‘what a friend we
have in Jesus…’ it is all (all problems) because
we do not carry everything to Lord in prayer.
So believe in a miracle every time. You are living
in an atmosphere of miracle.
God pleases in a believing heart. (Heb. 11.6)A
believing heart is a good heart.
So BE GOOD!
